BilliTees: "If it's Kiwi it's good!" Challenge

IF IT'S KIWI, IT'S GOOD...

Well, lets be honest it's bloody great! Here at Billi Tees we love all things Kiwi and we want you to make us an ad in video form about why being Kiwi is so good. Maybe its your hometown, your proud province that you want to show to the world, or maybe its something simple like the Pavlova that gives you pleasure and pride in your country.

Whatever it is, get your thinking cap on, gather up your mates, a camera and your story line and start shooting. You'll have two months to show us (and the rest of the world) what you've got! We'll be loading entries up on you tube, facebook and even Twitter from the end of November.

The winner takes all in the battle of a that is good that is Kiwi, but every entry* gets a prize and every entry* gets shown to the world via the internet. Crikey, you never know where it might end up and how many people might see your 2 minute movie debut!

The grand prize is a cracker! Return flights for 4 people, accomodation and rental car use within NZ* and of course a suitcase full of t-shirts to wear on the way! Now that's a good 'un. (See the Nitty Gritty below for full details).
Here some HANDY HINTS to get your creative juices flowing...

Billi Tees is all a bit tongue in cheek, so find out what makes your town different! Maybe yours is Bluff and it's known as the arse end of NZ, but you're out to disprove it, you reckon it's the beginning!! Maybe you learn to make a pavlova and find out what so good about them.
Get hold of you local community co-ordinator for help with themes, people to help you and maybe even sources equipment.
Get a local band to showcase talent or maybe just show us your local dairy where you go to get your 50c mixtures, its all good with us. But remember if its funny and clever, all the better.
Find the wrinkliest person in your street and ask them about the history, did anyone famous originate from your town? Get them on the blower or check out any quirky little stories.

So, you’ve decided to give it shot, good on ya mate! Here’s how…

You fill out your entry form below and submit it to us, we’ll send you your own entry code back and you can upload your video using the You Tube link on our website. You just need to enter your unique code in the descriptor so we know its you! Full instructions will be on the email. Once we receive your video entry we’ll sent you a second confirmation with your Billi Tees Bucks.
Or you can download the entry form and fill it in, save your movie to CD or other hard copy and send by Courier Post or snail mail it to us at:

The Nitty Gritty (Terms and Conditions)

To make sure your video qualifies here’s a few things you need to know…

Entries must be received to Billi Tees by 5pm January the 31st of January 2010. Single or group entries are accepted, but prizes are given out on a per entry basis. All qualifying entries get a prize and you can enter as many times as you like.

Your video must be no more the 2 minutes long, with no full nudity or swearing. Keep it clean NZ! Billi Tees reserves the right at our discretion to remove and material, comments that are deemed inappropriate, derogatory or infringe another persons copyright or intellectual property.
Videos must include, (either written or spoken) “If it's Kiwi it's Good” and ‘Billi Tees”. Use your imagination (you could wear one of our tees) but keep within the limits of the law.
All material submitted becomes the property of Billi Tees Limited (to the extent permitted by the law). By submitting content you also consent to its display various media channels including Billi Tees Limited own website, associated media channels and other channels we choose including sponsors Grab a Seat or getamongstit website.Content may also be used for other purposes including t-shirt design and print advertising.
The Judges decision is final (that’s us!) and no correspondence will be entered in to.
You can enter if you overseas but prizes are only redeemable within NZ. You can enter on your own or in a group, and you may submit as many entries as you like. Every qualifying entry recieves an instant prize of $10 Billi Tees Bucks.
You must be 18 years old to redeem the travel prizes. Prizes are not redeemable for cash, nor can they be exchanged. The grand prize winner must make their own way to their nearest Grab a Seat Airport in accordance with the prize offered.

To enter the compeition you must register as a member to Billi Tees online.
The competition is open for entries from 12.01am on the 30th of November and closes to entries on January the 31st at 11.59pm. Winners will be selected by the Billi Tees Judging panel on the 15 of February 2010.
If you believe you work has been copied and posted on the Billi Tees or Grab a Seat website in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please notify us via email to info@billitees.co.nz, including details of where the material you claim is infringing is located.
The grand prize (woohoo!) is a trip for 4 people inluding return flights, 4 nights accomodation and a rental car (if applicable). Grand prize winners will need to make their own way to their nearest Grab a Seat Airport. Booking date and travel date will be arranged with the prize winner but must be taken within 1 year of prize being won.
